JESUS CHRIST, NOT RELIGION, BUT THE WAY TO GOD
JESUS CHRIST, NOT RELIGION, BUT THE WAY TO GOD
JESUS CHRIST, NOT RELIGION, BUT THE WAY TO GOD
**Jesus is not merely a saint or a religious figure. He is the Christ, the Son of the living God, the Saviour of the world, and the only way to the Father.**
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6, KJV).
The Bible also declares that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
This truth calls us to examine our faith, our traditions, and our religious practices in the light of God’s Word. Do religious images, statues, crosses, and ceremonies help us understand and obey Christ, or do we sometimes place more importance on outward practices than on knowing and following Him? Scripture calls us to worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:23–24).
When discussing Catholic traditions or the practices of any Christian denomination, we should speak with truth, love, humility, and respect. Asking sincere questions is not wrong; we should examine everything in the light of Scripture (Acts 17:11).
## GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART!
God is not impressed by outward religious showmanship. Carrying a cross, building a magnificent religious monument, participating in ceremonies, or defending a denomination cannot replace genuine faith and obedience to God.
Jesus condemned religious hypocrisy and taught that outward appearance must never replace inward righteousness (Matthew 23:27–28).
**What did Jesus teach us?**
Religious activities without genuine love, mercy, faith, and obedience can become empty outward displays. The apostle Paul teaches that even great religious achievements mean nothing without love (1 Corinthians 13:1–3).
## JESUS CAME TO SAVE SINNERS!
Jesus said, “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10, KJV).
He came to reconcile sinners to God through His death and resurrection. He did not call people to compete over denominations, but to repent, believe the Gospel, follow Him, and love one another.
Our first responsibility is not to defend a religious label at any cost, but to remain faithful to Jesus Christ and the truth of His Word.
## YOUR DENOMINATION CANNOT REPLACE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!
A denominational name, religious tradition, or human rule cannot save us. Every teaching and practice must be examined in the light of Scripture. When human traditions contradict God’s Word, we must obey God rather than men (Mark 7:8–13; Acts 5:29).
However, we should not reject every tradition simply because it is a tradition. We must examine it carefully and distinguish between what Scripture teaches, what Scripture permits, and what human beings have added.
**Let us not merely practise religion; let us genuinely follow Jesus Christ.**
Let God’s Word guide our beliefs, let His Spirit transform our hearts, and let His love be seen in our lives.
**Jesus Christ must remain at the centre of our faith—not religious pride, denominational rivalry, or outward show.**
